Stepparents

No one wants to have divorced parents. In my situation i dreaded the fact of seeing my parents with other people. With my parents still being so close i can see them getting back together if it weren't for the fact that they are living with someone else.  I hate when people see me at a restaurant and refer to my stepfather as my dad. It creates tension in my head because I have a father and its not him. This is a situation i know is difficult for a lot of people who are in my shoes. Stepparents are an issue that most people don't address as the problem. My stepfather acts like a little kid when fighting and him trying to have authority over me doesn't go well either. So we have butted heads for a long time, as i get older i just laugh at him and go on with my life. As with my dads girlfriend we just don't talk that often which creates less tension between us.
